To address the crawl space, we designed a comprehensive solution:

Encapsulated the crawl space with drainage matting and our CleanSpace vapor barrier to seal out moisture
Installed a TripleSafe sump pump system to effectively manage and remove water
Applied Spray Foam insulation in the crawl space to improve energy efficiency, as well as an added vapor barrier

In the basement we installed Spray Foam insulation on the walls to improve the energy efficiency. Spray Foam expands as it is applied, filling all gaps and cracks to create an air tight seal. Spray Foam insulation is also moisture and mold resistant, making it a great option for below grade insulation.

On day one of the project the foreman installed the TripleSafe sump pump system, drainage matting and CleanSpace vapor barrier encapsulation, and EverLast Access Panel in the crawl space. 2016 marks the 9th year since Courtney’s sudden passing in December of 2007, and The Red Cross has held successful blood drives every year since. The DeWitt family is incredibly grateful for all of the pint donations and continued support from friends, family, and community members since the passing of their beloved daughter nearly 10 years ago. The event provided a great opportunity for community members to catch up and support a great cause while also trying some delicious local treats from the area's businesses.

If you felt unsteady for a brief moment this past Tuesday, don’t worry – you are probably fine. The shaking you felt was actually the ground moving under your feet! A now confirmed 4.5 magnitude earthquake occurred at roughly 7:15pm in southern Maine, just left of Portland.

The team at TC Hafford Basement Systems enjoyed an evening of baseball as the Portland Sea Dogs, the Double-A affiliate of the Red Sox, were hosts to the Trenton Thunder, the Double-A affiliate of the Yankees.

Tony Hafford, owner and President of the basement waterproofing business, treated his employees to the April 30th night game with sky box seats, greatly appreciated since springtime in Maine is notoriously chilly. Local Blood Drive Being Held In Loving Memory of Courtney DeWitt

Friday October 8th marks the third annual blood drive that has been organized in memory of Courtney DeWitt, a beloved local teenager who passed away in 2007. Her memory is still alive through her legacy and these events that help others to her honor. The blood drive is being held from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Wells Activity Center at 113 Sanford Rd., Wells, ME.

Courtney had been an engaging young lady who so beautifully balanced creativity through a promising interest in photography and athleticism through her enjoyment of sports-- especially basketball. Even at such a young age, she understood the importance of giving to others. She was quick to volunteer her time in the residential community at the Pavilion in Sanford.

To Courtney, life had been an adventure -- something her parents had instilled in her at a young age through taking trips to the Millinocket area, camping, playing sports, and watching the NASCAR races. She had loved to watch Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kasey Kahne the most!

Her energy had been contagious as she spent much of her time with her loving family and friends. She is sincerely missed by her adoring parents, Joleen and Corey DeWitt; her beautiful sister, Michaela; devoted grandparents; and her many, many friends and other family members.
