Basement In Brooklin, ME Protected From The Elements With WaterGuard

Katie in Brooklin was in need of some basement waterproofing. Her basement was letting water in through the walls and floor during rain. This could lead to mold growth or water damage, both of which the homeowner wanted to prevent. To keep the water out of her basement, Katie called TC Hafford Basement Systems to get the job done. We had a representative there shortly after the call to give her a free estimate, then we started on the solution!

We needed to excavate the interior perimeter of the basement, removing several inches of concrete. This allowed us to emplace a WaterGuard pipe system; which was then covered over with rocks and cement to seal it into the floor. Once in place, the WaterGuard will collect water as it enters the basement through the walls or floor. After capturing this water, the WaterGuard directs it to the sump. In the sump, we installed a SuperSump sump pump. This will take the gathered water and force it up a PVC pipe out of the basement. On the exterior of the home, following the discharge line from the sump, we attached an IceGuard filter along the pipe. This will guarantee water being pumped out of the basement will not become blocked by ice or debris; always having a way to escape the pipe, and exit the basement. Now this homeowner can rest assured their wet basement problems are a thing of the past.
