With water regularly leaking into their basement during heavy rains, this homeowner living in Lebanon, ME needed something more than the sump they had, to keep the water out. After the homeowner called us at TC Hafford Basement Systems, we were able to find them the solution they needed to protect their basement. Our installation crew got started by excavating room for our WaterGuard piping system around the outer edge of the floor. Before covering over the previous sump and the WaterGuard with fresh concrete, a SuperSump pump was installed and connected to the WaterGuard. Now when water attempts to leak in through the foundation, the low-pressure created by the WaterGuard piping will pull in and capture the water; guiding it to the SuperSump for removal from the basement without reaching the surface of the floor in the future.

Now that this homeowner has a WaterGuard system acting as a barrier to outside moisture, they can expect to find their basement remains dry even after heavy rainfall. Alongside the SuperSump, the WaterGuard will ensure this basement floor remains water-free!

SuperSump Installation Keeps Lebanon¸ ME Basement Water-Free

A homeowner that was living in Lebanon, ME at the time had recently begun to have moisture problems below their home. Rainwater had been gathering in a pool in their basement after heavy rainfall and they were worried about potential water damage. After speaking with a realtor, they were referred to TC Hafford Basement Systems and called us to receive a free estimate. Our sales representative spoke with the homeowner about what could be done, and they hired us to get the job done right away!

When our installation crew made it out to the home, they got started on the basement floor by excavating a place for a sump system to be implemented. A SuperSump pump was installed in this new hole, located in the natural low point of this basement floor. Now when water enters the space, it will flow into the SuperSump and be pumped up and out of the home through a PVC discharge line. The SuperSump can output over 2,600 gallons of water per hour, plenty of force to keep any rainfall at bay.

With a properly waterproofed basement, this homeowner no longer needs to worry about water pooling up below their home. The SuperSump system will maintain a dry basement floor in this home for years into the future.

WaterGuard Installation Protects Lebanon, ME Basement from Water Damage

A homeownr living in Lebanon, ME had a problem beneath their home. The concrete foundation around their basement was allowing moisture to leak through. This moisture was building up in the basement and causing problems for the homeowner. To get this problem taken care of, this homeowner searched online for a solution. They soon found TC Hafford Basement System and called us to see what we could do for them. Shortly after receiving their free estimate, they gave us the go-ahead to get started on fixing their moisture problem.

As soon as our installation crew arrived at the home, they began work installaing a WaterGuard piping system. This started with a shallow trench being excavated into the perimeter of the floor. Here, WaterGuard pipes were used to surround the basement floor before being buried beneath a fresh layer of concrete. Within the floor, the WaterGuard pipes will take in any moisture through small slits in the base of each pipe. This water is trapped within the pipes and guided beneath the floor to the sump to be removed from the home.

To keep up with the water being collected by the WaterGuard, a SuperSump sump pump was installed in this basement floor. The SuperSump can move over 2,600 gallons of water per hour. This water is forced out of the home through a PVC discharge line. To keep the SuperSump operational at all times, an UltraSump backup battery was attached. This battery will activate when the home loses power, maintaining a constant removal of any water that might be gathering beneath the home.

With these new additions to their basement, this homeowner should no longer suffer from water leakage. The WaterGuard will handle any leaks before they reach the surface of the floor from now-on!

Crack in Lebanon, ME, Basement Sealed Permanently

Steve from Lebanon started to notice a crack forming in his basement wall. This crack was starting to let water into the basement, and he wanted to fix this as soon as possible. Shortly after an internet search, Steve found TC Hafford Basement Systems and gave us a call. We inspected the crack, and quickly got to work applying FlexiSpan to fix the problem. To install Flexispan, we apply a sealant to the crack, to block water trying to enter through the crack. Then we cover this sealant with a foam strip, to further contain water that might enter along the edges of the crack. Finally, another layer of sealant is placed over the foam to completely lock out any water. The homeowner no longer needs to worry about this crack.

Water in basement, old home, stone foundation. Curious to see what you can do to help and how much it would cost.
Project Location: Lebanon, ME
I have mixed block basement and old field stone crawl space. There is water intrusion in the field stone side where the sewage cleanout leaves the foundation. I'm looking for options to make my vented crawl space more watertight and energy efficient as it's uninsulated as well.
Project Location: Lebanon, ME
Basement floods with heavy rain. Pulled up flooring to try and find source. Previous owners seemed to apply some kind of sealant (grey) then a second sealant on top (white). White sealant is now chipping away. Found some small cracks and chips in the concrete that seem to be the source of water. Water does not come in from foundation walls, just the floor. Would like to understand my options to stop the flooding.

I have two basement walls of fieldstone. I have several sections that I get leakage thru the wall. The mason I had come look at the issue mentioned he could repoint the stone but I need to seal the exterior wall. I have a newly paved driveway so to expose the exterior wall would be a huge expense. My mason thought your application might be a possible solution in sealing the walls

Project Location: Lebanon, ME
My basement has two fairly large cracks in the walls on opposite sides pretty much from top to bottom. They have been previously filled or repaired but now need to be repaired again. Just bought the house a year ago so I don't know when the original repair was done. It was built in 1979. Would like a more permanent, professional repair done. Thanks
Project Location: Lebanon, ME
Part of my house was added on to and uses large concrete blocks to hold it up. I want to have it looked at to see how it is holding up. There is a crawl space that is high enough to move around in if you bend over, 3 or 4 feet high. The rest of the house has a full basement that is fine. The house was built in 1983, the addition 2 or 3 years later. Thank you.

Project Location: Lebanon, ME
We've lived in our home for 12 years and never had a drop of water in our basement. 2 months ago we woke up to 2" of water covering our basement floor. Water is seeping through the seams in our basement floor and every time it rains the seams are damp now. The house has an external drainage system around the outside of the foundation that is apparently no longer functioning. We have recently dug a hole in the basement and installed a sump pump.
