An Orland, ME homeowner reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems for help with their leaky basement. They were fed up with hand pumping water out of the basement after storms and wanted to explore adding a sump pump. System Design Specialist Alan N. met with the owner to review their space and determine the best recourse.
To waterproof the basement, WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter and connected to a new TripleSafe Sump Pump. WaterGuard captures and channels water to the TripleSafe, which features two Zoeller sumps and a battery-powered backup. The TripleSafe drains water out of the basement and through an Exterior Buried Discharge line that is protected against ice buildup with IceGuard. We also installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. The SaniDry Sedona drains directly to the TripleSafe, which allows the basement to be kept at a safe humidity level all of the time without the homeowner having to empty a bucket of water to keep it running. Now our homeowner can enjoy a stress-free dry basement!
