SaniDry Installation Keeps Port Clyde, ME Crawlspace Water-Free

After living in Port Clyde, ME for some time, these homeowners began to notice a musty smell within their home. After identifying the source to be the crawlspace beneath their home, they knew they would need to find a way to keep the space safe from moisture. They soon heard about TC Hafford from a friend and called us to receive their free estimate. Our sales rep. sat down with the homeowners soon after to discuss their options. They gave us the green light and our crew got to work!

Once they arrived at the home, our installation crew was able to begin work on waterproofing the crawlspace right away. To eliminate the moisture building up in the atmosphere within the crawlspace, a SaniDry CX dehumidifier was installed on the floor. This device will pull in the surrounding air, separating any moisture from it and then circulating it back into the crawlspace. This will remove any moisture problems present within the space, keeping the air healthy and dry. The water collected by the SaniDry is then passed to a Condensate Pump installed nearby. This pump will force the water out of the home through a discharge line. The water travels a distance from the home through this line and is released onto the ground to harmlessly drain away into the ground.

With their dehumidifier in place, these homeowners no longer need to put up with the musty smell throughout their home. The SaniDry CX & Condensate pump will keep the air in this crawlspace moisture-free for years to come!

Port Clyde, ME Crawlspace Protected By CleanSpace

A homeowner in Port Clyde was having serious trouble with water gathering in their crawlspace. They needed this addressed professionally and took to the internet to find a solution. They soon came across TC Hafford Basement Systems and decided we were the right company to get the job done. They called us the next day and we had a representative head over to give them their free estimate. The homeowner gave us the green light and we got started!

We began work in the crawlspace by installing a SuperSump sump pump in the floor where the water would gather, this would then take the water and push it up and out of the crawlspace. Next, we laid a Drainage Matting around the inside perimeter of the crawlspace to hold back moisture coming in through the walls and allowing it time to drain back out into the surrounding soil. The crawlspace was then encapsulated with a CleanSpace Liner and sealed off from moisture trying to enter. This will eliminate the issue of water pooling up inside the crawlspace for a very long time. Finally, to maintain a dry atmosphere within the crawlspace, we installed a SaniDry XP dehumidifier. Which will cycle the air and remove any moisture, keeping the crawlspace completely moisture free!

I live in a 100+ year old house with a granite small block foundation. There is a crawlspace under the house and remains damp. Water comes in when it rains. We moved into our home in 1998. The home is build on a ledge but we have a dirt basement with some ledge here and there. The ledge has our furnace ( gas).
