Before After
Flooding Saint Albans, ME Basement Protected with WaterGuard & SuperSump Installations Flooding Saint Albans, ME Basement Protected with WaterGuard & SuperSump Installations

Owning a basement without much for waterproofing, this Saint Albans, ME homeowner was tired of finding inches of standing water in their basement. After a quick Google search and a phone call to our office at TC Hafford Basement Systems, this homeowner was set up with a free estimate where they were given details about their options. Once we got the green light to begin work from the homeowner, our crew began by excavating the perimeter of the basement floor. This enabled the installation of WaterGuard piping buried just below the surface of the floor. Next, a SuperSump pump was installed as well as a PVC discharge line with built-in protections on the exterior of the home in the form of an IceGuard pipe segment. Now during heavy rainfall, the WaterGuard piping will capture any leaking moisture and guide it to the sump before it has a chance to gather on the floors surface. The SuperSump will then remove the collected water from the home at a rate over 2,600 gallons per hour. The IceGuard will prevent any blockages in the line from causing a backup in the line by releasing any blocked water through the sides of the pipe.

With these waterproofing solutions in place below their home, this homeowner can now expect a dry basement floor during any rainfall that would have otherwise flooded the space.

Job Stories From Saint Albans, ME
Saint Albans, ME Crawlspace Properly Protected with CleanSpace Barrier

Living with a musty smell in parts of their home, this Saint Albans, ME homeowner was looking a solution to their problem. They took to the internet and soon discovered our TC Hafford Basement Systems website. After they looked over our site, they called us to set up their free estimate right away! Our office staff scheduled a time for the homeowner to meet with our sales representative and review their options. After their meeting, the homeowner hired us right away to dry the wet crawlspace at the root of the problem.

As soon as our installation crew arrived, they began work on the crawlspace by removing some existing dirt below the home and regrading the floor to better allow water to flow away from the space. A Drainage Matting was then laid across the crawlspace floor, completing the first half of the vapor barrier installation. The Drainage Matting has holes placed in a grid throughout itself and rests slightly above the surface of the floor. This will enable water blocked by the vapor barrier to flow out of the crawlspace without pooling up and creating new problems. Finally, a CleanSpace barrier was used to encapsulate the interior of the crawlspace. This liner covers the surfaces of the walls and covers the Drainage Matting to seal moisture out of the interior of the crawlspace.

With a new vapor barrier below their home, this homeowner’s moisture problem will no longer persist. The CleanSpace liner will keep out any future leakages for years down the road!

WaterGuard Installation Keeps Water from Flooding Saint Albans, ME Basement

A homeowner living in Saint Albans, ME was experiencing trouble with keeping their basement clear of water. With water leaking in through the foundation itself, the homeowner had no means of preventing the flooding from taking place. They were soon referred to contact us at TC Hafford to take care of their problem, and they called us right away ot receive their free estimate. They liked what we could do for them and hired us to get the job done!

Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they began work on the basement by excavating a shallow trench into the perimeter of the floor. WaterGuard piping was then laid down within this trench and buried beneath a fresh layer of concrete. Within the floor, these pipes will take in the leaking moistrue, guiding it directly to the sump for removal before it can even reach the surface. We installed a SuperSump pump within the floor to take care of the water-removal process. The SuperSump can output water at a rater of 2,650 gallons per hour, which is plenty to keep this basement water-free.

The water leaves the home through a PVC discharge line. Outside the home, just beyond where the discharge line exits the home, an IceGuard pipe segment was attached to protect against ice blocking the line. Any trapped water will be able to escape through special holes in the IceGuard before reaching back up into the home. Finally, a LawnScape discharge port was used to cap the end of the line. This piece has a grate over the end to keep debris from falling into the line while allowing the water to flow out onto the ground.

These basement improvements will ensure this homeowner will no longer need to remove the water from their basement themselves. The WaterGuard & SuperSump will keep the basement dry automatically.

Wet Crawlspace In Saint Albans, ME Kept Dry With CleanSpace

A homeowner in Saint Albans would have water gather in their crawlspace during heavy rains. This was causing mold growth within the crawlspace and needed to be stopped as soon as possible. After seeing one of our trucks, the homeowner looked us up and we got them their free estimate! They chose what work they wanted done and we had our crew head over to the home.

We started by laying a Drainage Matting around the inside perimeter of the crawlspace. This will hold back the water leaking in through the walls or wall/floor joint. Allowing it time to drain before it causes any issues within the crawlspace. We then encapsulated the crawlspace with a CleanSpace Liner. This liner will hold back any further moisture attempting to enter through the walls or floor. Now mold is no longer a concern for this homeowner, now that their crawlspace has been completely waterproofed.
