When our installation crew arrived at the home, they were tasked with protecting this crawlspace from leaking moisture that would typically enter during rainfall. They began by laying a Drainage Matting across the floor of the space. This mat sits just above the surface of the floor, forming channels below itself that any blocked water will follow to where it can most easily flow out through the ground. Next, a CleanSpace liner was used to encapsulate the entire interior of the crawlspace. This liner will lock moisture on its outside, forcing any leakage to flow down through the Drainage Matting and out through the ground. These two layers form a new vapor barrier, capable of keeping this crawlspace safe from outside moisture.

Now this homeowner will no longer need to suffer from the damp, musty air as a consequence of having a wet crawlspace. Their new vapor barrier will keep this crawlspace dry for years to come!

A homeowner that lived in Sullivan, ME had been living with a problem below their home. The basement had no waterproofing in place and would regularly take on water during rainfall. After they heard the details on what we could do for them, the homeowner gave us the go-ahead to get started on fixing their flooding basement!

When the installation crew arrived at the home their first task was to install a SuperSump sump pump in the lowest point of the basement floor, where the water will naturally accumulate. The SuperSump will force water it collects up and out of the home through a piping system. Nearby, a SaniDry XP dehumidifier was installed and connected to the sump. The SaniDry will pull the moisture out of the surrounding air and pass the collected water to the sump for removal. This will keep the air in the space healthy and eliminate the threat of mold growth.

Outside the home, where the discharge line exits the basement, an IceGuard pipe section was spliced into the line. The IceGuard has special angled holes built in which allow trapped water to escape. This will release water from the line if ice or other debris causes a blockage lower down, protecting the basement from a backup of water. Finally, a LawnScape port was attached to the end of the piping. Here, the water can flow out through the openings in the grate on the LawnScape that will keep out leaves and other larger debris.

With these additions to their home, this homeowner no longer needs to drain their basement of water regularly. Our automated SuperSump pump will do the work for them!

A homeowner in Sullivan was having trouble with an extremely wet basement. There seemed to be no way to keep it dry, and they needed help. Soon after they heard about TC Hafford from another satisfied customer, they got in touch. We had a representative head over to the home to inspect the basement, and give a free estimate. Once the homeowner decided on what solution they wanted, we got to work!

The first thing that needed to be done was to excavate the interior perimeter of the basement, Once this area was dug up, we installed a WaterGuard pipe system. This is a special kind of pipe that will capture all the water entering in through the walls or up from underneath the basement. This system is then cemented into place with concrete. We then installed a TripleSafe sump pump. The WaterGuard will guide the collected water to this pump, where it will be pushed up and out of the basement. The TripleSafe pump is unique in that it contains three separate pumps. One primary pump, a backup pump in case there is too much water for the first, and a final, battery operated pump to keep the basement dry should the power go out. The water is pumped through PVC up and out of the basement, and once outside, travels through an IceGuard filter we attached. The IceGuard will allow for the water to continue to exit the basement; even if the lower end of the discharge line is blocked by ice or debris. Finally, we installed a SaniDry XP Dehumidifier. This is to maintain a dry atmosphere within the basement should any moisture still find its way into the basement air. Now moisture is the last thing this homeowner needs to be worried about.
