Expert Basement Waterproofing & Foundation Repair in Rochester, NH

Homeowners in Rochester, NH had plans to finish their basement and turn it into functional space for the family. They experienced high moisture levels and wanted to be sure the basement was properly waterproofed before investing in the renovations. We installed a TripleSafe sump pump with WaterGuard, and a SaniDry Sedona. WaterGuard is a perimeter drainage system that catches water and directs it to the TripleSafe sump to be pumped away from the home. The SaniDry Sedona is a high efficiency air system, controlling the humidity to a healthy level while also filtering out allergens such as mold spores to keep the air healthy.

We recently helped homeowners in Rochester, NH with their leaking basement. We installed WaterGuard, a perimeter drainage system, to capture any incoming water. WaterGuard ties directly into the SuperSump pump system. The SuperSump pumps water away from the home through an exterior buried discharge line. We also installed a SaniDry Sedona high efficiency air system to control the humidity in the basement, reducing moisture, as well as filtering allergens from the air.

We were called to give a free estimate in a leaky basement in Rochester, NH. Upon inspection, not only did the basement have water intrusion issues, but the water had also caused the support beam to begin failing. To address the water, we poured a new slab floor with WaterGuard drainage system installed around the perimeter. WaterGuard channels water directly to their new TripleSafe sump pump. A SaniDry Sedona air system controls the humidity to a healthy level, and discharges directly into the TripleSafe pump so the owners never have to dump out buckets of water. In addition to the waterproofing, we also installed 4 SmartJacks and a new supplemental beam. SmartJacks are zinc-coated steel posts that provide immediate lift and support to the home above, and will never rust like traditional lally columns.

Dave from Rochester had a problem with his sump pump. It used to work the way any pump should. It would rain, the water would enter the basement, and be evacuated by the pump. But recently, this wasn’t happening; the water would enter, and then pool up and flood the basement. This needed to stop as soon as possible! After seeing TC Hafford Basement Systems on his television, Dave thought we could help with his sump problem and gave us a call. We had a representative over to the home in no time to give him his free estimate. Dave chose what he wanted done and we got to work!

We needed to start by taking the old pump out of the sump, and disposing of it. It would not be serving any further purpose. We then installed a SuperSump sump pump into the sump. This new pump will be more than enough for any amount of rain coming down around Dave’s home. The water entering the basement, then subsequently the pump, is pushed out through a PVC discharge line. Outside of the home, on the discharge line, we attached a special pipe known as an IceGuard. Aptly named after its functionality, the IceGuard protects the sump from backing up. Its unique design allows water to exit the sides of the pipe, should the lower end of the line become blocked by ice or other debris. Now Dave has a functioning pump and a dry basement that will remain dry year-round!
