Odor Filled Crawlspace in Rockport, ME Is Sealed From Moisture

A homeowner in Rockport had a crawlspace that was rather smelly. This was becoming an issue for the homeowner. They had no intention of finishing the space, or using it for storage, but they wanted something done about the smell. After hearing about us from a contractor, they gave TC Hafford a call. We had a representative go out and take a look, and then we got to work!

We started by laying down a drainage matting, to allow any accumulated water to exit the crawlspace without getting trapped. The entire crawlspace was then lined with CleanSpace Liner. This is a white film that will lock out any moisture trying to enter the crawlspace. Thus reducing the amount of moisture getting into the air. Finally we installed a SaniDry XP Dehumidifier. This will completely eliminate any moisture that might make its way into the crawlspace. Removing all moisture from the air will destroy any environment that would allow mold to grow, getting rid of the smell that was causing the homeowner problems.
