This Waldoboro, ME homeowner was in the market for some basement waterproofing when their camp began to flood after rainfall. After contacting our office for a free estimate and meeting with our sales representative, this homeowner gave us the green light to get started on keeping their basement dry in the future. As soon as our installation crew arrived at the home, they got to work on excavating a shallow trench around the perimeter of the concrete slab in the basement. This made room for WaterGuard piping to be laid, surrounding the basement floor. Buried beneath a fresh layer of concrete, the WaterGuard will act as a barrier, capturing any moisture leaking in through the foundation in the future. Next, a CleanSpace wall system was put in place, covering the walls to prevent any moisture from entering the basement by funneling it down into the WaterGuard below. Finally, due to limited electricity at the camp, a daylight drain was installed in the floor, with the WaterGuard feeding into it. Now any water entering the basement through the foundation or the walls will be intercepted by the WaterGuard & CleanSpace and redirected out of the camp through the drain.

With proper waterproofing in place, this property owner should not experience standing water in the basement of their camp in the future. The WaterGuard will keep water off their floor for years to come!

A homeowner in Waldoboro had a basement which would regularly get wet whenever it rained. Even though this homeowner had a sump pump to remove the water from his basement, he had to way to guarantee the water would reach the sump. This allowed for the water to build up and dampen roughly a quarter of his basement. The homeowner thought this was no good, so once he saw an ad for TC Hafford Basement Systems on the TV, he gave us a call.

After the homeowner decided what he wanted done to help fix his problem, our crew got to work. The first thing we did was dig out the perimeter of the homeowner’s basement. This would allow for the placement of a WaterGuard system, to reroute any water trying to enter the basement through the walls, or up from the ground. This rerouting would lead the water to the newly installed SuperSump sump pump. This pump takes the water and pushes it up and out of the basement, keeping the floors and air of the basement dry. The water is then passed through an IceGuard filter once outside the house. This filter acts as a normal pipe when everything is functioning normally. But once the pipe gets blocked, be it by ice or other debris, the IceGuard will allow water to exit the pipe and prevent the whole system from backing up. This homeowner now has a 100% dry basement.
