A property owner in West Enfield, ME needed some waterproofing done on a crawlspace beneath their building. The West Enfield Church of God was having some moisture build-up in the crawlspace below the building. This was cuasing a musty smell in the building that was attributable to the start of mold growth. Wanting to take care of the problem before it got worse, the property owner contacted us at TC Hafford Basement Systems to solve their moisture problem.


Once our installation crew arrived at the property, they began work right away by laying a Drainage Matting across the floor of the crawlspace. This mat sits just above the floor, with many holes throughout it. This is so that water can still flow beneath the mat towards the parts of the floor where the water can most easily drain away back into the ground. Above this, a CleanSpace liner was used to encapsulate the crawlspace. This liner covers every surface that water might try to enter through. Completing the vapor barrier, the CleanSpace locks out any future leaks that would have otherwise entered into this crawlspace.


Now any mold growth will soon die off without any moisture to survive on. This property owner no longer has a moisture problem to worry about!

We had a crew get to work by removing the old sump pump and installing a SuperSump sump pump. This sump will do a much better job removing the water from the basement, keeping it dry. The crew then attached an UltraSump backup battery to the SuperSump. This battery will allow the SuperSump to continue to pump water should the power go out. Maintaining a dry basement in the worst of storms.
