This homeowner living in Camden, ME owned an old basement with a stone foundation. A fresh slab of concrete was poured to replace the old slab, with WaterGuard piping buried just beneath the surface of the new floor. The WaterGuard pipes capture any leaking moisture and guide it out of the home through the newly installed TripleSafe sump pump. Finally, to seal any leaks that might enter through the walls and to brighten up the space, a CleanSpace wall system was utilized to cover the walls of the basement.

A homeowner in Camden was had a basement that would regularly gather water during heavy rains. After dealing with this problem for years, the homeowner decided it was time to put an end to it. They got online to find a solution, and quickly found TC Hafford Basement Systems. Knowing we were the right company for the job, the homeowner called us right away to set up a meeting. We had our representative sent to the home to inspect the basement and give the homeowner a free estimate. They chose what work they wanted and we sent in our crew to get started.

We began by digging up the inside perimeter of the basement floor to allow us to lay down our WaterGuard pipe system. This system was then covered over with loose rocks and cement to conceal it beneath the floor without hindering functionality. The WaterGuard will capture water as it enters through the walls or floor, guiding it to the sump. There in the sump, we installed a SuperSump sump pump, to push the water up and out of the basement through a PVC discharge line. Finally, on the exterior of the home we attached an IceGuard filter to the line. This special pipe will allow for continued flow of water even if the end of the pipe becomes blocked by ice or other debris.

With these systems working together, this homeowner will no longer need to deal with a wet basement floor. They will now have a dry basement for many years to come!
