Oceanfront Foundation Failure Saved with StableLock Wall

Challenge

An oceanfront home in Cutler, ME was experiencing foundational failure on the wall facing the ocean. Water was coming in through the old fieldstones and washing out underneath their slab. The homeowners were extremely concerned their house would end up washing out to sea. 

Solution

We installed a StableLock Wall on the exterior of the foundation. Due to the unique location of the home, our crews had to time the installation around high and low tides, leaving a short window of time to complete the repair. StableLock Walls prevent further bowing or shifting of a foundation without the traditional expense and disruption of having to lift the home. We pour a new concrete wall along the failing wall to stabilize the structure.
