Photo Album: Basement Waterproofing Project in Yarmouth, Maine

This Yarmouth, Maine basement had water intrusion problems, and often had standing water in the space. The old stone foundation walls and dirt floors allowed water in, putting the structure of the home at risk for mold and wood rot. We poured a new slab floor with WaterGuard perimeter drainage system. WaterGuard captures water and channels it to the new TripleSafe sump pump to be pumped away from the home. To address the stone walls we used both CleanSpace Wall System and Spray Foam insulation. CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that seals out moisture and gives a clean, updated appearance to the basement walls. Spray Foam improves energy efficiency and is also water resistant, acting as an added vapor barrier to seal out moisture. To complete the project we installed a SaniDry Sedona high efficiency air system, which removes over 100 pints of water from the air each day, keeping the basement dry.
