Photo Album: Waterproofing Cinder Block Basement in South Thomaston, Maine
New homeowner in South Thomaston, Maine bought a home built in 1953 with cinder block foundation walls that were damp and cracking. The owner wanted to explore drainage and sump pump systems. We installed WaterGuard perimeter drainage system that connects to the new TripleSafe sump pump. We also installed CleanSpace Wall system on the foundation walls. Cinder block walls are prone to water issues since the blocks are hallow and there can often be cracking between blocks. CleanSpace Wall system is a vapor barrier that gets installed over the walls, directing any incoming water behind the liner down to the WaterGuard to be pumped away from the home. On the interior of the CleanSpace, moisture is sealed out and it gives the basement walls a fresh, clean appearance.
