Leaking Crawlspace Encapsulated in Harpswell, ME

Challenge

Harpswell, ME homeowners contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for help with their leaking crawlspace. The crawlspace is beneath a 1200 sq. ft. home, and the homeowners wanted to get an estimate on installing a vapor barrier.

Solution

System Design Specialist Ron B. met with the homeowners to assess their crawlspace. Foreman Noah F. regraded the crawlspace to prep it for the new vapor barrier. The homeowner already had a sump pump, so to help keep the space dry we installed CleanSpace with drainage matting. Drainage Matting is a durable barrier with dimples to help channel water and elevate the CleanSpace, keeping it clean. CleanSpace is a durable, inorganic vapor barrier that gets attached to the walls and seals up the crawl space, keeping moisture out. CleanSpace was attached to the crawlspace with SprayFoam insulation, which also provides an air and moisture tight seal.
