Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Encapsulating a Crawl Space in Seabrook, NH

Homeowners in Seabrook, NH had a crawl space with dirt floors that were allowing moisture in, and they wanted to learn more about their options to encapsulate the space. System Design Specialist Mike P. provided a free estimate, inspecting and measuring the crawl space to identify where the water was coming in from, and determining the best repairs needed for their home. We encapsulated the crawl space with drainage matting and our CleanSpace vapor barrier. Drainage matting allows the groundwater to still flow freely underneath, while the CleanSpace liner on top seals that moisture out of the crawl space. A SmartSump pump was added to pump the groundwater away from the home through an exterior buried discharge line. We also installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to control the humidity to a healthy level, keeping the crawl space dry. Lastly, Spray Foam insulation was added along the perimeter of the rim joists, keeping cold air out.
