Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Moldy & Wet 1700's Farmhouse Crawlspace Saved with CleanSpace in Westport Island, ME
A homeowner from Westport Island, ME contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for help with their moldy and wet crawlspace. They have a 1700's farmhouse with old foundation walls and dirt floors. System Design Specialist Kathryn D. met with the homeowners to give them a free estimate on turning their failing crawlspace around.
To encapsulate the space we installed CleanSpace with drainage matting. Drainage Matting is a durable barrier with dimples to help channel water and elevate the CleanSpace, keeping it clean. CleanSpace is a durable, inorganic vapor barrier that gets attached to the walls and seals up the crawl space, keeping moisture out. SprayFoam was installed on the rim joists to insulate the area, keeping cold air out during the winter, making the space more comfortable, and saving the homeowner money on their energy bill. Finishing out the full waterproofing system was the installation of a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to help control moisture.
