Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Basement Bail Out in Bailey Island, ME

Bailey Island homeowners experienced a failing sump pump, causing water intrusion in their basement. The homeowners wanted to improve their sump pump system, and explore any other options to best keep the space dry. We upgraded their sump pump to a brand new TripleSafe sump pump system with a battery back up to protect against power loss. We also installed StarPipe drainage system around the perimeter of the space, channeling water directly to the sump pump. We encapsulated the area with CleanSpace with drainage matting. CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that seals moisture out, and is inorganic so it prevents mold growth. Finally, SprayFoam insulation was applied to create an air tight seal and improve energy efficiency.
