Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Encapsulating a Summer Camp Crawl Space in Casco, Maine
A summer camp in Casco, Maine contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for help with their crawl space beneath a lodge. The crawl space had high humidity and mold, and they wanted to encapsulate the space to avoid any further mold issues again in the future. We installed our two-step encapsulation process, including a layer of drainage matting to control the groundwater. Next is our CleanSpace liner, an inorganic vapor barrier that seals out moisture and prevents mold growth. We also installed a SaniDry Sedona high efficiency air system to both filter the air, as well as control the humidity in the space. Keeping the humidity at a healthy level also ensures there won't be moisture issues, which in turn prevents mold. Lastly, Spray Foam insulation was added along the CleanSpace to seal the liner and prevent any moisture intrusion.
