PowerBraces, StableLock, and Bulkheads Oh My!

Challenge

Our Richmond, ME homeowner contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for help with their leaking and shifting bulkhead. Not only was water coming into the basement through the bulkhead, but the cinder block walls were cracking and giving out, leaving the homeowner concerned about the stability of the bulkhead and nearby foundation wall.

Solution

We stabilized the interior of the cinder block foundation wall with PowerBraces. PowerBraces keep the wall in its current position to avoid any further bowing or cracking, and over time the braces can be tightened to straighten the wall. These can also be installed with no excavation required! Since our homeowner had water coming in through their old bulkhead, we poured new StableLock walls for the bulkhead and protected them with drainage matting to prevent any future water issues.
