Foundation Repair Photo Album: Stabilizing Sinking Foundation in Litchfield, Maine

We recently met with homeowners in Litchfield, Maine to give a free estimate for repairs after they noticed a large crack in their foundation wall. They were concerned about the structural integrity of the home. Through various measurements, we determined the wall was cracking because part of the home was settling and sinking into the ground. We installed Push Piers which are steel posts connected to the footing of the home and are then driven deep into the ground until they hit bedrock, letting the weight of the home transfer from the piers to something stable. We can also use hydraulics with the Push Piers to help lift the home back to its original position. After the installation, the Push Piers are hidden so they are not visible and in the way.
