Foundation Repair Photo Album: Repairing Cracked and Leaking Foundation Wall in Westbrook, Maine
Homeowners in Westbrook, Maine had a large diagonal crack in their foundation wall, allowing water intrusion and causing some concern for the structural integrity of the foundation. The owners had tried different patches over the years and needed a permanent solution. To address the water, we installed CleanSpace Wall system, WaterGuard, a TripleSafe sump pump, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. The CleanSpace Wall system is a vapor barrier that allows water to stay behind the liner, directed to the WaterGuard perimeter drainage system. WaterGuard captures the water and channels it to the TripleSafe sump pump to be pumped away from the home through an exterior buried discharge line. The SaniDry Sedona controls the humidity at a healthy level, removing water from the air, while also filtering allergens like mold spores from the air.
To keep the foundation protected from any shifting, we installed PowerBraces. PowerBraces are steel posts that prevent the failing wall from shifting, and can even be adjusted over time to straighten the wall back to its original position if it moved. The homeowners do not have to worry about the foundation cracks now that the PowerBraces are keeping it properly supported.
