Foundation Repair Photo Album: Repairing Foundation Wall and Waterproofing Lubec, Maine Basement

This Lubec, Maine basement had multiple issues, from water intrusion to a cracked and bowing foundation wall. System Design Specialist Mark S. met with the homeowners to provide a free estimate for the repairs to stabilize the failing wall and waterproof the basement. We transformed the basement from the ground up, starting with a new concrete floor and WaterGuard perimeter drainage system. CleanSpace Wall vapor barrier was installed to seal moisture out from the walls. PowerBraces were installed along the bowing wall to stop any further movement. PowerBraces can be adjusted over time to straighten the wall back to its original position. To complete the waterproofing, we tied the WaterGuard drainage into a new TripleSafe sump pump to pump the water away from the home. A SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was added to control the humidity to a healthy level, removing over 100 pints of water from the air daily!
