Foundation Repair Photo Album: Push Piers Installed to Save Sinking Foundation in Lewiston, Maine

The owner of a rental property in Lewiston, Maine reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems for help with their home that had a continually sinking foundation. The owner had tried other solutions to keep the home stable, but they were not the proper fix. We installed push piers to stabilize the foundation and help bring the home back to its original position. Push piers are driven deep into the ground until they hit bedrock, which keeps them stable compared to the uneven soil the home is resting on. Push piers can use hydraulics to lift the home, returning it to its original position. The weight of the home is transferred to the piers instead of the soil, protecting it from shifting again.
