Leaky and Clogged Gutters Are a Nightmare

Leaky and clogged gutters had become a growing issue for this Greenwood, ME homeowner, and wanting to take care of the issue, they reached out to Gutter Shutter by TC Hafford Basement Systems.

System Design Specialist Josh Hamel drove out and met with the homeowner to go over Gutter Shutter and design a system that would surpass the expectations of the homeowner and protect the home from water damage. Wanting to keep the look of their home, the homeowner chose to go with a traditional white Gutter Shutter system that would blend into their home. The larger 6-inch gutter can handle more water, and the built-in shutter keeps organic material out, so clogging is never an issue.

The homeowner is able to relax knowing their home is protected, and they no longer have to worry about water pouring on their heads as they walk into their front door.

Basement Awry in Rye, NH

Homeowner in Rye, NH contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for help with their leaking basement with eroding walls. The owner worked with System Design Specialist Michael P.  to come up with a plan to solve their problems. BrightWall was installed along the wall where cracks and crumbling had previously formed to act as a vapor barrier and channel any moisture to the WaterGuard. WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter and connected to a new TripleSafe Sump Pump. The TripleSafe system, which features two Zoeller sumps and a battery-powered backup,  drains water out of the basement and through an Exterior Buried Discharge line that is protected against ice buildup with IceGuard. SprayFoam was installed at the rim joists to insulate the basement. Now the homeowner has a fresh and clean usable basement that will stay dry!

Stable Floors and a Dry Basement

This Lyman, ME homeowner has lived in their home for over 28 years and after that amount of time you get to know the home and it’s problems pretty well. The homeowner knew that they had moisture issues in their basement and didn’t want the issue to go unchecked too much longer. Looking to live in a healthy and safe home, the homeowner called TC Hafford Basement Systems and booked a free estimate.

System Design Specialist Ron Bernard worked with the homeowner to design a waterproofing system for their home that would protect the health of the home and exceed the expectations of the homeowner. Mold has caused issues for the homeowner so getting the space dry was the first concern that needed to be addressed. WaterGuard was laid around the perimeter where needed and connected to a TripleSafe Sump Pump. WaterGuard captures water and channels it to the TripleSafe which is powerful enough to take large amounts of water and pump it out of the basement through a Buried Discharge Line. The Buried Discharge Line takes the water far enough from the home where it can no longer cause issues. To prevent ice buildup and ensure that the system works all year round, IceGuard was installed on the Discharge Line. In high traffic areas of the basement such as doorways, TrenchDrain was installed to capture as much water as possible and feed it to the TripleSafe Sump Pump. To finish up the waterproofing system, a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was installed to keep humidity at a safe level where mold wont grow and the homeowners belongings wont be damaged. The Sanidry Sedona drains to the TripleSafe so the homeowner never has to worry about emptying a bucket of water and the dehumidifier will always run as it needs to.

To finish the homeowner’s basement system, SmartJacks were installed where needed to support the floor above and remove any bounce that the floors had. SmartJacks can be adjusted over time to meet the changing needs of the home and more can be added in the future if needed without interrupting the current system. Now the homeowner’s basement is dry, moisture free and the floors above stable. The home is not only healthier, but with yearly service and the TC Hafford Basement Systems warranty, the homeowner can live in their home with true peace of mind.

Wet Stone Basement in Harrison, ME

After contacting TC Hafford Basement Systems, a team of specialists were able to successfully solve all of these issues. A System Design Specialist determined that the space was in need of a CleanSpace encapsulation system with Drainage Matting. They Installed a new SaniDry XP Basement Air System to keep the humidity low, and a new window to help with leaks.

Damp Harrison, ME Basement Kept Dry with CleanSpace Encapsulation

After experiencing dampness in their basement for some time, this Harrison, ME homeowner hired us at TC Hafford Basement Systems to solve their wet basement problem. To protect this space from moisture in the future, the existing slab was excavated from the basement to make room for a completely waterproof slab installation. With a freshly poured slab, our crew installed a Drainage Matting beneath the surface, along with a CleanSpace liner to wrap the walls of the basement. A SuperSump pump was also installed in the new floor, providing a means for any gathering moisture to be pumped out and away from the home. Now water leaking in through the walls or up from below the floor will be blocked by the new vapor barrier and redirected back out of the home through either the ground or the sump.

These basement upgrades will enable this homeowner to make use of their basement once again without the fear of water damage. The new vapor barrier will ensure their basement remains dry in the future!
