Wet Crawl Space Encapsulated in Arundel, ME

Homeowners in Arundel, ME wanted help with their wet crawl space. Their old sump pump was not working properly and needed to be moved since it was not in the lowest spot of the floor, and they were interested in encapsulating the space as well. We jackhammered a new hole in the proper place for a brand new SmartSump pump system. Drainage matting was laid down on the floor, and then the space was encapsulated with CleanSpace vapor barrier. The final step in the process was installing SprayFoam insulation on the rim joists and walls to create an air tight seal and provide improved energy efficiency. The crawl space will now be dry and protected from mold or rot issues due to water.

Damp Crawl Space Fixed in Kennebunkport, ME

Kennebunkport, ME homeowners wanted help with their wet crawl space so they called TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate. They knew if their crawl space continued to have water issues it could affect not only the air in their home, but also the structural integrity of their space. We used a three-prong system to waterproof the area, including the installation of a TripleSafe sump pump, SaniDry Sedona air system, and CleanSpace vapor barrier. The CleanSpace is installed with drainage matting to fully seal the crawl space, locking moisture out and preventing mold growth. Drainage matting helps channel ground water underneath the CleanSpace liner directly to the TripleSafe sump pump to be pumped away from the home. The SaniDry Sedona controls the humidity in the crawl space, and has a MERV 8 filter to take care of dust and mold spores.

Leaking Basement Gets Full Treatment in Peru, ME

System Design Specialist Sam C. met with Peru, ME homeowners to assess the water damage in their basement. The owners were tired of dealing with water intrusion and having a wet mess to clean up. Due to the cracks and water intrusion, we poured a new concrete slab, with slab WaterGuard. WaterGuard captures and channels water to the TripleSafe, which features two Zoeller sumps and a battery-powered backup. The TripleSafe drains water out of the basement and through an Exterior Buried Discharge line that is protected against ice buildup with IceGuard. Next, to brighten up the interior of the basement and provide a layer covering the cold concrete walls, BrightWall panels were installed around the entire basement. BrightWall is a durable, easy to clean panel system that never discolors. Finishing out the full waterproofing system was the installation of a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier.

Gorham, ME Camp Revamp

Gorham, ME homeowners wanted help with insulating the crawl space at their camp, as well as keeping it water tight. We installed CleanSpace Wall System to seal up the old brick walls, as well as WaterGuard around the perimeter of the crawl space to channel any moisture to the TripleSafe sump pump. A SaniDry Sedona was added to purify the air and keep the humidity at a healthy level. SprayFoam insulation was added to help attached the CleanSpace Walls and provide energy savings.

WaterGuard Piping Provides Permanent Waterproofing Solution for Gorham, ME Basement

Living with a wet basement, this Gorham, ME homeowner was looking for a way to keep the water at bay. After a quick Google search, they called us at TC Hafford Basement Systems, and we set them up with a free estimate from one of our sales representatives. Liking what we could offer, they hired us right away to get started on waterproofing their wet basement. As soon as our installation crew arrived at the home, they got started on the basement by excavating a shallow trench into the perimeter of the floor. This enabled them to lay WaterGuard piping down below the surface of the floor, covering it over with a fresh layer of concrete. Concealed within the floor, the WaterGuard piping will now capture any moisture leaking in through the foundation before it can reach the floors surface. This trapped water is guided directly into the SuperSump installed in the corner of the basement to remove the water from the home before it can accumulate. The water is forced out of the home through a PVC discharge line protected by an IceGuard segment just outside the home. The IceGuard is constructed with upward facing holes to allow for any water blocked by ice or debris to escape the line before backing up into the home.

With these waterproofing measures in place, this homeowner now has the permanent solution they were looking for. The WaterGuard & SuperSump combination will ensure this basement remains water-free for years to come!
