We helped homeowners in Blue Hill, Maine who had a leaky, wet basement. The owners wanted to learn their options to waterproof the space so they could keep it dry for storage, as well as increase their home's value. We first poured a new concrete floor with WaterGuard perimeter drainage system. After measuring to find the low spot, we installed a TripleSafe sump pump that connects to the WaterGuard to capture the water and pump it away. CleanSpace Wall system was installed on the old walls to act as a vapor barrier, sealing out moisture. Lastly we added Spray Foam insulation on the walls and rim joists. Spray Foam improves the comfort of the basement, and is also water and mold resistant, so it's a great choice for basement insulation.
