Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Waterproofing Auburn Basement So Homeowner Can Finish the Space

A homeowner from Auburn, ME had purchased a property to use as a rental investment. Before turning the basement into finished living space, they needed to address the water issues. The home was at the end of a street that sloped toward the house, channeling water right at the basement. System Design Specialist Michael M. created a plan to fully protect the basement from any future water problems.   The perimeter of the basement had WaterGuard installed to help funnel any water or moisture directly to the SuperSump Plus system. The SuperSump removes water from the basement away from the home through an exterior discharge line. The discharge line is protected with IceGuard so it doesn't freeze and back up in the winter. Additionally, we treated the walls with CleanSpace Wall System, and inorganic vapor barrier that protects the basement from moisture and helps inhibit mold growth. To finish the space, we added a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to help control the moisture in the basement.
