Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: No Battery Back Up Floods Bucksport Basement

Bucksport, ME homeowner called TC Hafford Basement Systems after their basement flooded. Their original sump pump system did not have a battery back up, so when they lost power the pump failed and caused expensive flooding damage. System Design Specialist Mark S. met with the homeowner to come up with a plan that will keep their basement completely dry from now on.   First we poured a new slab floor to upgrade the basement from an old, cracking concrete floor. When installing the slab we added slab WaterGuard, a channel around the perimeter of the basement that funnels water to the new TripleSafe Sump Pump system. CleanSpace Wall System was installed on all basement walls to act as a vapor barrier, and send any moisture to the WaterGuard. The TripleSafe removes water from the basement through a buried exterior discharge line and away from the home.
