Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: New Sump & Slab in Sedgwick, ME
Homeowners in Sedgwick, ME had experienced water issues in their basement for about 10 years. Water was mainly coming in through the basement walls. The owners want to pass the property onto their daughter, and didn't want her to have to deal with the headache of repairs and water damage. To fully waterproof their basement we first poured a new slab floor with WaterGuard, a perimeter drainage system. On the leaking walls we installed CleanSpace Wall System, an inorganic vapor barrier that seals out moisture and prevents mold growth. The WaterGuard channels water directly to a brand new TripleSafe sump pump system. Lastly, we added a SaniDry Sedona high efficiency air purifier to filter dust and mold spores, as well as control the humidity in the space. Their daughter will now inherit a dry, usable basement as well as added value to the home.
