Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: New Slab & Sump in Shawmut, ME

Shawmut, ME homeowners were dealing with a very wet basement that only had a temporary sump pump. They contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for help to keep their basement dry. To begin, we prepped the floor with drainage matting and then poured a brand new slab floor. Along the perimeter of the basement floor we also installed WaterGuard, a drainage system that connects directly to the brand new TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe, which features two Zoeller pumps and a battery back up, was a big upgrade over their temporary pump set up. The new TripleSafe will handle higher capacity water events, and is protected against power outages. CleanSpace Wall System was added as a vapor barrier on the cracked wall where water was seeping in. To complete the project, we added a SaniDry Sedona high efficiency air system. The SaniDry not only controls humidity, but also improves the air quality by filtering out dust and mold spores. The owners now have a dry, usable space they no longer have to worry about.
