Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Basement & Crawl Space Waterproofing in Windham, ME

Windham, ME homeowners were experiencing water issues in their adjacent basement and crawl space areas. They were very interested in a vapor barrier for the crawl space, as well as support for the sagging floors above. To address the water in the basement, we first poured a new slab floor. We then installed WaterGuard perimeter drainage system, and a TripleSafe sump pump. The WaterGuard channels water directly to the TripleSafe to be pumped away from the home through an exterior buried discharge line. The TripleSafe has a battery back up to keep it operating even if the home loses power. We encapsulated the crawl space with CleanSpace vapor barrier, an inorganic material that also prevents mold growth. For added waterproofing and energy efficiency we installed SprayFoam insulation on the walls and rim joists, creating an air tight seal. Lastly, to save the sagging floors we installed SmartJacks, a galvanized steel post system that immediately lifts and levels the floors above.
