Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Basement Waterproofing in Prep to Finish Basement in Gorham, Maine
Homeowners in Gorham, Maine wanted help waterproofing their basement so they could move forward with renovations to make it a usable, livable space. The basement was damp at times, and the floor was previously part dirt, part concrete. We poured a brand new slab floor with WaterGuard perimeter drainage system. CleanSpace Wall vapor barrier was installed on the walls, sealing moisture out of the basement and directing any water behind the liner down to the WaterGuard drain. WaterGuard connects to the TripleSafe sump pump so all water is pumped away from the home. We installed a SaniDry Sedona high efficiency air system to both control the humidity in the basement, and filter allergens from the air. Over the years the dampness had weakened the wooden support beams, so we also installed SmartJacks to support the home. SmartJacks are steel posts that provide ample support, and they are zinc coated so they never rust like traditional lally columns.
