Basement Waterproofing - How to Fix a Wet Basement

Most of the water infiltrating the typical wet basement comes from one place: the joint between the floor and the walls.

That happens because the soil around the foundation is oversaturated with water, and the resulting hydrostatic pressure pushes water against the foundation wall. Since the pressure is greater by the foundation footing, the water tends to follow the path of least resistance and find its way into the basement through the joint between walls and slab, and any other such gaps.

Tony Hafford, from TC Hafford Basement Systems, has been waterproofing basements in Maine and SE New Hampshire since 1991. Having tried many methods to stop basement leaks, he now offers the best solution available in industry: the WaterGuard Drainage System. These tiles, specially designed for this application, sit on top of the foundation footing, along the internal perimeter of the basement, where it can intercept and collect water before it enters your basement and divert it to a powerful, sealed, sump pump system.

TC Hafford Basement Systems offers over 24 exclusive and patented products to custom design waterproofing solutions that will work for as long as your house stands, and are nationally backed by a Transferable Lifetime Warranty!
