Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

This Hampton, NH home was purchased two years ago by the current homeowner and they had a few issues that needed to be addressed in the crawlspace so TC Hafford Basement Systems got the call. System Design Specialist Peter Folsom met with the homeowner and put together a plan on how to lift the sagging floor and protect the crawlspace from moisture.

We recently helped homeowners in Center Barnstead, NH who had old fiberglass insulation falling from the ceiling. They wanted to learn their options to keep the basement insulated and comfortable, without facing the same problems again. We installed Spray Foam insulation along the rim joists around the perimeter of the basement. Spray Foam expands as it is applied, filling every gap and crack to create an air tight seal. It immediately improves the energy efficiency of the home. Spray Foam is also water and mold resistant, so it is a great option for below grade spaces.

Owners of this Strafford, NH crawl space wanted help controlling the humidity and sealing water out of the space. We installed drainage matting with CleanSpace vapor barrier on top to keep the crawl space dry, and give the space a fresh, clean appearance. To handle the humidity, we installed a SaniDry Sedona. The SaniDry Sedona is an extremely efficient air system that can remove over 100 pints of water from the air per day, and also features a MERV 8 filter to remove allergens like mold spores.

Homeowners in Greenland, NH had a strong odor coming from their crawl space, but they could not find any water or source of the odor. We encapsulated the crawl space to ensure no moisture was getting in, by first installing drainage matting and then a CleanSpace vapor barrier liner on top. Sealing out the moisture not only helps prevent odors, but also protects the structure of the home from mold and wood rot. Not pictured here, we also installed a SaniDry Sedona high efficiency air system. The SaniDry controls humidity to a healthy level, keeping the crawl space dry, and also has a MERV 8 filter that removes odor causing allergens.

New owners of this Alton Bay, NH home quickly realized the crawl space was humid and they could smell musty odors. We cleaned out the old fiberglass insulation that was damp and falling to prep the crawl space for encapsulation. First we install a layer of drainage matting on the ground that controls the groundwater, followed by our CleanSpace vapor barrier liner on top. CleanSpace seals out moisture, keeping the crawl space dry and protecting the joists and beams from wood rot. Spray Foam insulation was installed on the walls and rim joists, keeping cold air out and adding another layer of protection against moisture since it is water resistant.
