This North Hampton home had a crawl space that was less than practical. There was moisture build up & water seepage that prevented the homeowner from utilizing this space. TC Hafford was contacted and after assessing the conditions, and it was determined that a CleanSpace Vapor Barrier Encapsulation would do the trick. The CLeanSpace Liner is specifically desgined for Crawl Spaces and Basements, to prevent mositure, humidiity, and pests from penetrating the space.
This crawl space is a lot healthier which makes this home a lot happier. Now they can utilize the already existing space!
Open crawlspaces lead to the elements coming in and wrecking the health of a home leading to mold and cold floors. In worse cases, wood can begin to rot, leading to thousands and thousands of dollars in repair. Moldy crawlspaces can affect not only the health of the home but those living in the home as well. This Bartlett, NH homeowner was worried about the health of their family and wanted to take care of their Crawlspace as soon as possible, making sure the air they are breathing is fresh and clean.
System Design Specialist Sam Crowley met with the homeowner and put together a list of their goals, and together they designed a crawlspace system that would accomplish their goals. The system started with CleanSpace and drainage matting with Spray Foam on the rim joists. To make sure water wouldn’t be a problem, they put in a TripleCrawl Sump Pump System that is connected to an exterior, buried Discharge Line that takes the water way from the home. Mold was an issue in this crawlspace, so Sam and the homeowner opted to put in a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. This ensures that humidity never gets to a point where mold will grow. Together they built this system and ensured the health of the home for the future.
Our Wolfeboro, NH homeowner contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate to encapsulate and insulate their crawlspace. System Design Specialist Brian D. met with the owner and made a plan to install CleanSpace and Spray Foam Insulation.
SprayFoam was installed on the rim joists to insulate the area, keeping cold air out during the winter, making the space more comfortable, and saving the homeowner money on their energy bill. To fully encapsulate the crawl space and keep moisture and critters out, CleanSpace with Drainage Matting was installed. Drainage Matting is a durable barrier with dimples to help channel water and elevate the CleanSpace, keeping it clean. CleanSpace is a durable, inorganic vapor barrier that gets attached to the walls and seals up the crawl space, keeping moisture out.
This Middleton, NH, homeowner was dealing with musty smells coming from their crawl space, and the open dirt floor was leading to moisture issues. The homeowner knew they wanted a vapor barrier to be installed in their basement, so they called TC Hafford Basement Systems for help. System Design Specialist Rick Russell met with the homeowner for a free estimate and worked with them to design a system to keep moisture out of their crawl space.
The first step in encapsulating the crawl space was to lay down CleanSpace with Drainage Matting. Drainage Matting is durable, and with the large dimpled design, a gap is created between the CleanSpace and outside elements. CleanSpaces bright white design helps reflect light, creating a more illuminated area that is perfect for storage. Encapsulating a crawl space benefits the area by keeping out moisture and critters, protecting the home, and creating a healthier environment. A Sump Liner was installed to make the installation of a sump pump easier in the future if it becomes necessary. To finish the encapsulation system, SprayFoam was installed on the rim joists to fully protect the home. Now that the crawl space is fully encapsulated, the homeowners’ worries are taken away, and the space that caused them concern is now a perfect area for storage.
