Vapor Barrier Installed in Yarmouth, Maine Crawl Space

A Yarmouth, Maine home was under contract to sell when an inspection report showed a failing vapor barrier in the crawl space, and recommended that insulation be installed as well. We removed the old plastic and debris to prep the crawl space for installation. We use a two-step encapsulation system, with drainage matting and CleanSpace vapor barrier. Drainage matting controls the groundwater beneath the CleanSpace, and CleanSpace seals the moisture out so the crawl space stays dry. Spray Foam insulation was installed on the walls to improve the energy efficiency of the crawl space and home above.
