Encapsulating a Dirt Floor Crawl Space in Saco, Maine

We turned this damp Saco, Maine crawl space into a dry space with our two-step encapsulation system. The dirt floors were allowing moisture to seep in, causing the space to stay damp, which can lead to wood rot and mold growth. First we install a layer of drainage matting, which helps control the groundwater. We then install our CleanSpace vapor barrier liner on top, which seals out moisture. CleanSpace is also made from an inorganic material, so it is mold resistant.
