Flooded Crawl Space Encapsulation in Wells, Maine

Homeowners in Wells, Maine live relatively close to a marshy area, and in the spring thaw experienced flooding throughout their crawl space. They contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for help with repairs and preventing the water from coming back again. We encapsulated the crawl space with drainage matting on the floor to control groundwater, and then CleanSpace vapor barrier on the floor and walls to seal out water. Not pictured here, a TripleSafe sump pump was also installed to pump water away from the home. The TripleSafe has two Zoeller pumps that can handle over 6,000 gallons of water per hour, plus a third battery backup pump that keeps the system running even if the home loses power. The owners can rest easy knowing their crawl space will never be flooded like this again!
