Greenland, NH homeowners were looking for help replacing their old, rusted bulkhead doors. We installed a set of new doors that looked more appealing from the exterior, and also closed flush to prevent leaking.
Springvale, ME homeowners had contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems a few years prior, but held off on completing the work. After more years of water frustrations they called again ready to move forward with repairs. System Design Specialist Peter F. helped create a plan to address the water issues so their basement would remain dry moving forward.
CleanSpace Wall System was installed to act as a vapor barrier where needed and channel any moisture from the walls to the WaterGuard. WaterGuard is a perimeter system that funnels water to the brand new TripleSafe Sump Pump. The TripleSafe has two Zoeller sumps and a battery-powered backup. The TripleSafe drains water out of the basement and through an Exterior Buried Discharge line that is protected against ice buildup in the winter with IceGuard.
A local business discovered they had a water problem hiding in their basement wall and wanted to repair it ASAP. We installed CleanSpace Wall System, a vapor barrier, to seal out moisture. WaterGuard perimeter drainage was added and connected to the sump pump we had previously installed. A SaniDry Sedona high efficiency air system was also installed to maintain a healthy humidity level to keep the basement dry.
When the 55-year-old drain in their basement clogged up and would not function anymore, this Bridgton, ME homeowner called us at TC Hafford Basement Systems. After speaking with our sales representative and reviewing their options during a free estimate, they gave us the green light to begin work on resolving their sump problem. When our installation crew arrived at the home, they began work on the basement by excavating a shallow trench into the perimeter of the basement floor. This allowed enough room for WaterGuard piping to be laid surrounding the basement. Buried beneath a fresh layer of concrete, the WaterGuard pipes within the floor will capture any moisture leaking into the basement through the pores in the concrete in the future. The water is then guided through the piping to the sump where we installed a SuperSump pump. This new pump is capable of removing over 2,600 gallons of water from the home every hour. The water is pumped outside the home through a PVC discharge line where it passes through IceGuard & LawnScape sections before being released onto the lawn. These two additional pipe sections provide protection against blockages in the line and debris that might cause future clogs.
With a revamped waterproofing system in place, this homeowner’s wet basement problem is now a thing of the past. The WaterGuard & SuperSump combination will ensure this basement remains dry for years to come!
This Bridgton, Maine home was under contract to sell when a home inspection found water intrusion issues resulting from a leaking foundation wall. We installed CleanSpace Wall system on the foundation wall as a vapor barrier to seal out moisture. WaterGuard perimeter drainage was installed around the basement as well, with the CleanSpace liner directing moisture behind the liner down to the WaterGuard. Not pictured here, the WaterGuard drainage channels water to the new TripleSafe sump pump to be pumped away from the home.
