First we put down drainage matting to control the groundwater, and then we install CleanSpace vapor barrier to seal out moisture. A SmartSump pump was installed to remove groundwater. We also added a SaniDry Sedona high efficiency air system to filter the air and control the humidity level in the crawl space, which will help the home above.

The SaniDry Sedona can remove 100 pints of water per day and keeps the crawl space at a healthy humidity level to avoid moisture problems.

To trap water leaking in through the foundation before it could reach the surface of the basement floor, WaterGuard piping was buried within the floor perimeter. The WaterGuard will capture the moisture and guide it to the newly installed TripleSafe sump system to remove the water from the basement. The water is pumped from the home through a PVC discharge line where it passes through an IceGuard pipe segment on the exterior of the home. This piece of specialty piping protects against blockages in the line such as ice and releases any built-up water before it is able to reach back into the interior of the basement to cause more flooding.
