This Bangor, Maine crawl space had high humidity and moisture problems. To help keep the sale of the home on track, we repaired the crawl space by installing our two-step encapsulation system, as well as a dehumidifier and support posts. We encapsulated the crawl space with drainage matting and our CleanSpace vapor barrier to seal out moisture. The installation of a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier keeps the humidity at a healthy level, while also filtering allergens from the air. We also added SmartJacks posts to keep the properly home supported.
A Bangor, Maine property was under contract to sell when a home inspection revealed a bowing foundation wall. We repaired the foundation wall by installing a StableLock Wall. We developed StableLock Wall to help homeowners whose walls are bowing or crumbling but not yet at total failure. We pour a new concrete wall next to the failing wall to prevent further bowing or shifting, while keeping the home stable. It is less costly than lifting the home and excavating.
Homeowners in Bangor, Maine had a foundation wall causing them great concern for the structural integrity. The wall was bowing in, creating crumbling and cracking, indicating a larger problem. We installed StableLock Wall system, which is our patented solution to repair foundation walls without major excavation or lifting the home. With the StableLock system, we pour a new concrete wall adjacent to the failing wall, and we include specialized bracing. The new wall prevents the old wall from further shifting, while providing support to the home. It is less costly and intrusive than having to excavate and lift the home, making it a smart foundation repair choice!
Homeowners in Millinocket, Maine wanted to finish their basement but before doing so they had concerns about the energy efficiency of the space. We installed Spray Foam insulation on the basement walls, which creates an air and moisture tight seal, immediately providing improved energy efficiency benefits. Spray Foam can get into all of the nooks and crannies much more effectively than traditional fiberglass insulation, and is also mold resistant. The homeowners will now have a comfortable space to use and enjoy for years to come!
This Castine, ME home was recently purchased, and the new homeowners wanted to address the laundry list of issues that reside in the basement. Water damage can be found throughout the basement, and with a goal of remodeling the home, the new homeowner knew it was important to nip these issues in the bud.
System Design Specialist Mark Smith drove out to meet the homeowner with the goal of designing a system that would fix the issues created by water intrusion and protect the health of the home. With water coming into the basement through the walls and floor, the best course of action was to install WaterGuard Perimeter Drain.
First, Drainage Matting is laid down because a new slab is going to be poured. Drainage Matting creates an inorganic barrier to protect the slab. WaterGuard Perimeter Drain is placed down and connected to a TripleSafe Sump Pump system. SmartJacks were installed to replace 5 rusted out lally columns to ensure the structural integrity of the home and keep the homeowners safe. The new slab is poured, and a SaniDry Sedona is installed in the basement to maintain optimal humidity levels in the basement. CleanSpace Wall System is installed, and now the homeowner can remodel their home knowing their basement is protected and their home is healthy.
