The area was built with a granite foundation, along with a concrete floor that was not pitched properly. The homeowner already had a sump pump but the water was not making it to the pump to be removed. To fully encapsulate the crawl space and keep moisture and critters out, CleanSpace with Drainage Matting was installed. Drainage Matting is a durable barrier with dimples to help channel water and elevate the CleanSpace, keeping it clean. CleanSpace is a durable, inorganic vapor barrier that gets attached to the walls and seals up the crawl space, keeping moisture out. WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter and connected to a new SmartSump pump. WaterGuard captures and channels water to the SmartSump, which then drains water out of the basement and through an Exterior Buried Discharge line that is protected against ice buildup with IceGuard. 

SprayFoam was installed on the rim joists and walls to insulate the area, keeping cold air out during the winter, making the space more comfortable, and saving the homeowner money on their energy bill. Finishing out the full waterproofing system was the installation of a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. The SaniDry Sedona drains directly to the SmartSump, which allows the basement to be kept at a safe humidity level all of the time without the homeowner having to empty a bucket of water to keep it running. The crawlspace now looks and feels 200 years newer! The homeowners can use the space without any further worry of water issues.

These pipes will capture any moisture trying to enter the space through the floor in the future and guide the collected water to the TripleSafe sump pump for removal from the home. Finally, a CleanSpace liner was used to encapsulate the walls of the basement. This will both brighten up the space as well as guide any water coming in through the walls down into the WaterGuard for removal.
