This liner covers the entire crawlspace except for the ceiling, completely locking out moisture, and if any makes its way in, it will be directed to the drain in the floor. The first thing that needed to be done was to excavate the interior perimeter of the basement, Once this area was dug up, we installed a WaterGuard pipe system. This is a special kind of pipe that will capture all the water entering in through the walls or up from underneath the basement. This system is then cemented into place with concrete. We then installed a TripleSafe sump pump. The WaterGuard will guide the collected water to this pump, where it will be pushed up and out of the basement. The TripleSafe pump is unique in that it contains three separate pumps. One primary pump, a backup pump in case there is too much water for the first, and a final, battery operated pump to keep the basement dry should the power go out. The water is pumped through PVC up and out of the basement, and once outside, travels through an IceGuard filter we attached. The IceGuard will allow for the water to continue to exit the basement; even if the lower end of the discharge line is blocked by ice or debris. Finally, we installed a SaniDry XP Dehumidifier. This is to maintain a dry atmosphere within the basement should any moisture still find its way into the basement air. Now moisture is the last thing this homeowner needs to be worried about.

This will keep the air in the space healthy and eliminate the threat of mold growth. Outside the home, where the discharge line exits the basement, an IceGuard pipe section was spliced into the line. The IceGuard has special angled holes built in which allow trapped water to escape. This will release water from the line if ice or other debris causes a blockage lower down, protecting the basement from a backup of water. Finally, a LawnScape port was attached to the end of the piping. Here, the water can flow out through the openings in the grate on the LawnScape that will keep out leaves and other larger debris. With these additions to their home, this homeowner no longer needs to drain their basement of water regularly. Our automated SuperSump pump will do the work for them!

This WaterGuard will capture any water trying to enter through the walls or floor, guiding it out of the basement. We then covered the walls of the basement with BrightWalls. These are solid plastic panels that hold back water coming in through the upper side of the walls. This water is then funneled to the WaterGuard, where it exits the basement.
