Waterproofing Leaking Basement in Harpswell, Maine

This Harpswell, Maine basement was constantly leaking, causing damage to personal items and a headache for the homeowners to have to clean up. Most of the water was seeping in through cracks in the foundation walls. We installed CleanSpace Wall system, which is a vapor barrier liner that is attached to the wall to seal out moisture. CleanSpace is made of an inorganic material, so it is mold resistant as well. Moisture comes in and is directed behind the liner down to their new WaterGuard drainage system. WaterGuard connects to a new TripleSafe sump pump (not pictured here) that pumps water away from the home through an exterior buried discharge line. Spray Foam insulation was also installed around the perimeter of the rim joists to seal the CleanSpace liner, and keep cold air out. Spray Foam insulation is water and mold resistant, so it is a great choice to use in basements.
