Basement Waterproofing Before & After Photos

We recently helped Brunswick, Maine homeowners repair their damp and dirt floor basement. We encapsulated the space with CleanSpace vapor barrier, a liner that seal out moisture and prevents mold growth. Spray Foam insulation was installed on the walls to help seal the CleanSpace liner, as well as improve the energy efficiency of the home. The owners now enjoy a dry, usable space without the worry of moisture problems.

Homeowners in Brunswick, Maine had water seeping in from their foundation walls and they wanted help keeping the basement dry. We installed CleanSpace Wall System, which is a vapor barrier liner that gets installed on the wall to seal out moisture. We also installed WaterGuard perimeter drainage system, which captures any water coming in from the walls behind the CleanSpace vapor barrier. WaterGuard connects to their TripleSafe sump pump so that water will get pumped away from the home.

System Design Specialist Thomas met with homeowners in Brunswick, Maine to provide a free estimate to waterproof their leaking basement. We installed WaterGuard interior perimeter drainage with a new concrete floor and a TripleSafe sump pump (not pictured here). WaterGuard captures incoming groundwater and channels it to the TripleSafe sump to be pumped away from the home. The TripleSafe features two Zoeller cast iron pumps, and a third battery backup pump to keep the system operating even if the home loses power.

After locating some seepage coming in through their basement wall, causing water damage and mold, this homeowner began looking for solutions to this problem right away. Our team at TC Hafford Basement Systems provided a free estimate on repairs and began work on solving this problem for the homeowner as soon as our crew was available. The culprit for this moisture damage was a crack in the foundation hidden behind the drywall. To cover this crack for good, a FlexiSpan seal was applied. This three-layer seal will completely lock out moisture, preventing any future leaks through this crack. Next, to handle any moisture that may gather on this floor through other sources, a SmartSump pump was installed in the basement floor. These waterproofing measures will enable this homeowner to make use of their finished basement without fear of future water damage causing mold growth or property damage.
