Guilford homeowner was experiencing a wet basement with water coming in down the walls. They reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist Alan Noyes evaluated their needs. We installed the CleanSpace wall system with WaterGuard, as well as a TripleSafe Sump Pump and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier.
WaterGuard is installed around the perimeter of the basement to channel any water to a TripleSafe Sump Pump that will take water out of the basement and push it through an exterior Buried Discharge Line. CleanSpace Wall System is installed and connected to the WaterGuard, ensuring no water can seep through any cracks and end up on the new slab. To prevent humidity from being an issue, a SaniDry Sedona is installed in the basement to keep humidity at a safe level. The SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier is set up with an additional line attached to the TripleSafe Sump Pump so the homeowner no longer has to go into the basement to empty their old dehumidifier.
Owning a basement without much for waterproofing, this Saint Albans, ME homeowner was tired of finding inches of standing water in their basement. After a quick Google search and a phone call to our office at TC Hafford Basement Systems, this homeowner was set up with a free estimate where they were given details about their options. Once we got the green light to begin work from the homeowner, our crew began by excavating the perimeter of the basement floor. This enabled the installation of WaterGuard piping buried just below the surface of the floor. Next, a SuperSump pump was installed as well as a PVC discharge line with built-in protections on the exterior of the home in the form of an IceGuard pipe segment. Now during heavy rainfall, the WaterGuard piping will capture any leaking moisture and guide it to the sump before it has a chance to gather on the floors surface. The SuperSump will then remove the collected water from the home at a rate over 2,600 gallons per hour. The IceGuard will prevent any blockages in the line from causing a backup in the line by releasing any blocked water through the sides of the pipe.
With these waterproofing solutions in place below their home, this homeowner can now expect a dry basement floor during any rainfall that would have otherwise flooded the space.
With several leaking cracks in the walls of their basement, this Dexter, ME homeowner needed a more permanent method to keep the water at bay. After calling us at TC Hafford Basement Systems and receiving their free estimate, this homeowner was able to find the solution they were looking for. Upon arrival at the home, our installation crew got started on sealing these cracks by preparing the area surrounding each crack; using a coarse brush to remove any debris. Next, an initial layer of sealant was laid within each crack. This was covered by a foam core and a second layer of sealant to hold the core in place. This structure known as a FlexiSpan seal will lock out any leaking moisture while also maintaining flexibility to adhere to the crack even if the wall should shift slightly over time. With the cracks in their basement sealed with FlexiSpan, this homeowner can now make use of their basement without water causing damage to their property.
These FlexiSpan seals will maintain a dry basement for this Dexter, ME homeowner for many years into the future! Their leaky, damp basement is now a thing of the past!
We installed CleanSpace drainage matting on the floor to create a durable base that allows water to flow underneath, directing it away from the basement. The vapor barrier was then installed over it to seal the area, preventing moisture and humidity from seeping through, ensuring a dry and protected space.
This Waldoboro, ME homeowner was in the market for some basement waterproofing when their camp began to flood after rainfall. After contacting our office for a free estimate and meeting with our sales representative, this homeowner gave us the green light to get started on keeping their basement dry in the future. As soon as our installation crew arrived at the home, they got to work on excavating a shallow trench around the perimeter of the concrete slab in the basement. This made room for WaterGuard piping to be laid, surrounding the basement floor. Buried beneath a fresh layer of concrete, the WaterGuard will act as a barrier, capturing any moisture leaking in through the foundation in the future. Next, a CleanSpace wall system was put in place, covering the walls to prevent any moisture from entering the basement by funneling it down into the WaterGuard below. Finally, due to limited electricity at the camp, a daylight drain was installed in the floor, with the WaterGuard feeding into it. Now any water entering the basement through the foundation or the walls will be intercepted by the WaterGuard & CleanSpace and redirected out of the camp through the drain.
With proper waterproofing in place, this property owner should not experience standing water in the basement of their camp in the future. The WaterGuard will keep water off their floor for years to come!
