Basement Waterproofing Before & After Photos

This Waldoboro, ME homeowner was in the market for some basement waterproofing when their camp began to flood after rainfall. After contacting our office for a free estimate and meeting with our sales representative, this homeowner gave us the green light to get started on keeping their basement dry in the future. As soon as our installation crew arrived at the home, they got to work on excavating a shallow trench around the perimeter of the concrete slab in the basement. This made room for WaterGuard piping to be laid, surrounding the basement floor. Buried beneath a fresh layer of concrete, the WaterGuard will act as a barrier, capturing any moisture leaking in through the foundation in the future. Next, a CleanSpace wall system was put in place, covering the walls to prevent any moisture from entering the basement by funneling it down into the WaterGuard below. Finally, due to limited electricity at the camp, a daylight drain was installed in the floor, with the WaterGuard feeding into it. Now any water entering the basement through the foundation or the walls will be intercepted by the WaterGuard & CleanSpace and redirected out of the camp through the drain.

With proper waterproofing in place, this property owner should not experience standing water in the basement of their camp in the future. The WaterGuard will keep water off their floor for years to come!

We transformed this Waldoboro, Maine basement from a damp, wet mess into a dry, usable space. The old fieldstone foundation walls and dirt floor were allowing water to easily seep into the basement. We poured a new concrete floor with WaterGuard interior perimeter drainage system. Following their free estimate, our installation crew began work on the home by excavating a shallow trench into the majority of the existing basement floor. This was soon replaced with a fresh concrete slab as well as a WaterGuard piping system buried within the perimeter. A TripleSafe sump pump was installed in the basement floor nearby with the WaterGuard feeding directly into it. The TripleSafe system houses three pumps; two pumps to handle the bulk of the water with a third, battery-operated backup pump to handle any power-outages. Finally, a CleanSpace wall system was put in place, covering the walls of the space with a water-tight seal that drains down into the WaterGuard below. Now during any rainfall or melting snow, leaking moisture will be captured by the WaterGuard before reaching the surface of the floor and forced out of the home through the TripleSafe discharge line.

We helped Newport, Maine homeowners waterproof and insulate their damp basement. The original basement had dirt floors and fieldstone walls, both of which allow moisture to seep in. We poured a brand new slab floor with WaterGuard perimeter drainage system. The homeowner had plans to finish the basement, and wanted to ensure it was dry before doing the renovations. Our System Design Specialist came up with a plan to install a SmartSump system with WaterGuard, as well as Spray Foam Insulation. The SmartSump was installed to capture water and pump it through the new Exterior Buried Discharge line. The Discharge line takes the water far from the home and with the installation of IceGuard, the entire system is protected against ice buildup in the winter. We identified that spray foam insulation from Doctor Energy Saver would be a great fit for this project as well. We applied the foam throughout the basement walls, and the results were outstanding. The insulation made a noticeable difference and helped prepare the space to be finished and enjoyed.
