Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

A homeowner from Cumberland Foreside, ME reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems for help with their humidity and moisture issues. They were experiencing moisture issues up into their home as well as in the basement. System Design Specialist Mike P. met with the homeowner for a free estimate to address their concerns.

We installed a new slab, slab WaterGuard, drainage matting, a TripleSafe sump pump, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. Slab WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter and connected to a new TripleSafe Sump Pump. WaterGuard captures and channels water to the TripleSafe, which features two Zoeller sumps and a battery-powered backup. The TripleSafe drains water out of the basement and through an Exterior Buried Discharge line that is protected against ice buildup with IceGuard. Drainage Matting was installed to create an inorganic barrier that would channel water to the sump and protect the new slab. 

Finishing out the full waterproofing system was the installation of a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. The SaniDry Sedona drains directly to the TripleSafe, which allows the basement to be kept at a safe humidity level all of the time without the homeowner having to empty a bucket of water to keep it running.

System Design Specialist Craig Z. met with homeowners in Pownal, ME after they contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for help with their crawlspace. The homeowners had a damp and dingy crawlspace that was in need of waterproofing. We installed CleanSpace with drainage matting. CleanSpace is an inorganic vapor barrier that seals out moisture and also helps prevent mold, mildew and rot. The drainage matting allows a channel for water to flow to the SmartSump pump system the homeowners already had in place to remove water. Their crawlspace is dry and protected, and has a new fresh look! 

Homeowners on Peaks Island, Maine wanted to insulate their damp crawl space. We first encapsulated the area with CleanSpace vapor barrier, which seals out moisture and is treated to prevent mold growth. We then installed Spray Foam insulation on the walls and rim joists. Spray Foam is a great insulation product for basements and crawl spaces because it not only seals out cold air, but is also water and mold resistant. Traditional insulation products like fiberglass lose their effectiveness once they get damp. This crawl space is now protected and will improve the energy efficiency for the whole home.

For several years, these homeowners have been dealing with a moldy, messy basement. In order to use the basement more efficiently, and resell the house easily in the future, they decided to call TC Hafford. Our team of professionals installed a waterproofing system to prevent future leaks, poured a brand new concrete floor, and installed our CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system. A SaniDry Sedona will keep the humidity low to prevent future growth of mold as well. 

Living in an old home with an existing vapor barrier, this homeowner was surprised to find their crawlspace would still take on moisture from time to time. To remedy this, they hired us at TC Hafford Basement Systems to replace the old barrier with a new one. After removing the previous barrier, our crew encapsulated the interior of the crawlspace with a CleanSpace vapor barrier. To eliminate any moisture in the atmosphere of the space, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed alongside a Condensate Pump. Now any moisture in the space will be pulled in through the SaniDry and removed from the home through the discharge line leaving the Condensate Pump. Now that this crawlspace has been fitted with a brand-new vapor barrier, this homeowner can rest assured the space will remain moisture-free for the future!
