No Mold in Stratton Crawl Space

In Stratton, ME moisture turned a homeowner's crawl space into a musty mess. Before, this dirt-filled area brewed the perfect recipe for mold! After our team stepped in, we installed the CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system. CleanSpace is an inorganic vapor barrier that seals water out, and does not allow for the growth of mold or mildew. Notice what we've done - transformed it into a dry, clean foundation that's ready to serve for years to come without a hint of mold! Our expertise offered a breath of fresh air below and set the stage for a healthier, more comfortable home.

Cold Crawlspace Problem in Saco, ME

Saco, ME homeowners reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate on encapsulating their crawl space. They were tired of dealing with a cold, dusty space they felt they couldn't use. System Design Specialist Peter F. created a plan to insulate and encapsulate the space. To fully encapsulate the crawl space and keep moisture and critters out, CleanSpace with Drainage Matting was installed. Drainage Matting is a durable barrier with dimples to help channel water and elevate the CleanSpace, keeping it clean. CleanSpace is a durable, inorganic vapor barrier that gets attached to the walls and seals up the crawl space, keeping moisture out. Foamax wall insulation panels were also installed to act as a moisture barrier, as well as insulate the space. The homeowners can now store their belongings without everything getting dusty, and save money on their energy bills at the same time!

Struggling Crawl Space in Saco, ME

Saco, ME homeowners hadn't been down into their crawl space for years when they realized it was failing. It had dirt floors and moisture coming in, ruining their old fiberglass insulation. We cleaned out the debris from the old insulation and encapsulated the space with our two-step process. First a layer of drainage matting is added to channel ground water underneath the CleanSpace liner. CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that seals out water, and prevents mold growth. A SmartSump pump with UltraSump batter back up was installed to pump water away from the home. Lastly, SprayFoam insulation was installed on the walls and rim joists to create an air tight seal. SprayFoam will immediately provide energy savings, and gets into the nooks and crannies better than their old fiberglass insulation. The homeowners no longer have to worry about what water damage may be happening in their crawl space.
